Application of 3D fast modeling technology in crime scene reconstruction

摘要: 犯罪现场三维重建一直是公安信息技术研究领域的热点问题,存在诸多挑战,目的是通过模拟分析犯罪现场为各种案件侦破提供有力的支持。快速三维建模技术作为犯罪现场重建技术研究领域内的关键技术问题,亟待人们去研究解决。文章将围绕公安部门现场勘查工作的特点和需求,结合虚拟现实、图像处理等技术,提出一种三维快速建模方法并将此应用于犯罪现场重建。文章利用三维制作软件构建模型资源库,使用三维图形渲染引擎OSG调用模型来快速建立三维犯罪现场虚拟场景,通过与模型资源库交互,可以从不同的角度呈现犯罪现场,便于办案人员了解分析现场情况,提高案件侦破效率。

Abstract: The crime scene of 3D reconstruction has always been the focus of current research in the field of public security information technology and there are many challenges, of which the purpose is to provide forceful supports for detecting various cases by simulating and analyzing crime scene. Fast 3D modeling technology is the key technology in the field of crime scene reconstruction technology, which needs to be studied urgently. This paper presents a novel 3D fast modeling method, which considers the characteristics and needs of the on-site investigation work of police, combined with virtual reality and image processing technology. It has been applied to crime scene reconstruction. Firstly, we conduct the model database by using the 3D software and use 3D graphics rendering engine OSG to establish a 3D virtual crime scene quickly. Through interaction with the model repository, the crime scene can be presented by different perspectives, which is helpful for the investigators to understand the situation by analysis of the scene, and will improve the efficiency of investigating difficult case.
