Abstract: The financing development of large and medium-sized enterprises is not only the objective requirement of innovative and integrated development during the “14th five-year” period, but also the inevitable choice to achieve high-quality economic development. Lianyungang Economic Development Zone has actively played the leading and supporting role of large enterprises, continuously improved the industrial supporting capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises, and strongly supported the improvement of the toughness and competitiveness of Lianyungang pharmaceutical industry since it was approved as the financing characteristic carrier for large and medium-sized enterprises in Jiangsu province in 2021. The article focuses on the innovative development of the financing characteristic carrier of large, medium and small enterprises in Lianyungang Economic Development Zone, studies and condenses five innovative development models, finds out the problems existing in the development, and puts forward targeted opinions and suggestions. In the future, the construction of characteristic carriers in Lianyungang Economic Development Zone still needs to continue to deploy the innovation chain around the industrial chain, continuously strengthen the supporting cooperation among enterprises in the region, and promote the construction of characteristic carriers to a new level with technological innovation.
